Everyone is invited along to our AGM, it is important that we get the support of parents and helpers to ensure that the club continues to run smoothly.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the night.

All Swimmers are invited to roll up their sleeves, put their muscles to good use and demonstrate their skills out of the pool!
2 Games of Ten Pin Bowling
Followed by a meal
Teams will be picked on the day
Prize for the Highest Scoring Team!
Cost £10 per swimmer
Please note your name on the list at the pool should you wish to come along. You must also pay a deposit of £5 (non refundable) to Ann or Sandy Wardrop no later than Monday 29 October 2007th October.
16/06/2007 Fauldhouse Community Centre AGM 25th June
The community centre have advised that they are holding an AGM on Monday the 25th June and would like 2 representatives from the club to attend.
This AGM will be the forum for discussing the closure / opening of the pool.

Committee Meeting Schedule11/04/2007 Robin Hood Open - Sheffield
The above gala is open to all swimmers in the club who are 10 years of age or older by the 6th of October. You currently need to have the consideration times as per the attached sheet or be close to them. Normal practice is for first timers to pick one swim per session though you can choose more. All entries are countersigned by Leon who may request that a swimmer reduce or include more swims as he deems appropriate. Swimmers who only have one ore two times at or close to the consideration time are welcome to submit entries.(please consider the parental cost).
Outwith the sessions times (for those who have swims) swimmers are the responsibility of their parent/guardian. Travel to and from Sheffield is also the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
Entry forms will be issued to all swimmers wishing to compete.
These forms must be returned ASAP.This is a first come first serve gala where squad entries are accepted in total.
Swimmers not making up their minds put at risk all swimmers from the club being accepted.
Monday 7th May is the date by which all forms must be returned.
Forms will be available w/c Monday 16th April.

Those swimmers going to the Nationals have training tommorrow night at Fauldhouse 5-7pm (with b squad )
A & B squads
There is no training at Fauldhouse Fri 6th, Sat 7th, Sun 8th, Mon 9th April
There is training for both squads at the Commonwealth Pool as follows
Fri 6th 8-9.30pm
Sat 3-5pm
Sunday A squad only normal time
A & B Squads
Friday 13th Fauldhouse 7-9pm
Sat 14th 7 - 9am
Sun 15th 1.30-3.30pm. Rcp as normal
All other training times are on.

SASA membership fees are now due and must be paid by all members of the club.
Fees are
| Under 8 years | £9.00 |
| 8 years /under 11 years | £17.00 |
| 11 years or over | £30.00 |
This fee must be paid by 21st March to Evelyn Veale

Payment of Fees
This is a reminder to all swimmers that any gala entry fees must be paid as soon as you have selected to swim in the gala event.
Any equipment / kit purchased must also be paid for at the time you order it.
Payment should be made to Evelyn Veale
Evelyn will be emailing all club members she has an email address for to advise them of what is outstanding, other members she does not have an address for will be given a slip with any outstanding amount detailed. Please arrange to pay outstanding amounts due to the club by the 31st March.

15/02/2007 Land training at St Margarets
Land training at St Margarets on a Tuesday night is no longer on.
10/02/2007 We Need You!
The club is looking for volunteers aged 16 years and over to train as technical officials (Timekeepers, Recorders, Judges, etc) in order to meet the requirements for certain gala's. It would be beneficial if we could have volunteers from throughout the club as we are represented at a variety of competitions at varying levels and venues. We are required to provide a minimum amount of technical officials i.e. timekeepers, judges, etc.
Most of our previous timekeepers have gone on to become recorders, judges, starters and on some occasions referees.
We are looking for any existing club timekeepers who would like to improve their qualifications, and also new volunteers to become club timekeepers.
The majority of the positions are workshop based and training for club timekeepers involves a workshop (approx 2 hours) normally held at your own pool.

The website developers were wondering what the committee and club members thought about setting up a private forum i.e. google groups - Fauldhouse penguins.
This would be a private group which all members would have to request access to and develop/accept a code of conduct.
The group would be moderated by volunteers and could be used as an informal chat area specific to our swimming club.
Any comments or suggestions on this matter would be gratefully received by e-mail over the coming weeks to

January 2007
As most of you will now be aware, sadly our coach Eian passed away peacefully on Tuesday 2nd January 2007.
Eian's funeral took place on Saturday 6th January. Lesley and his children would like to express their gratitude in the following:
I would like to thank everyone on behalf of myself, Gordon, Jenny & Callum for all the cards, flowers, e-mails, messages and kindness we have received.
The huge attendance at Eian's funeral, including his swimmers, was a great comfort to us all. Eian would have been very humbled.
He was a big man with a big heart with a place in it for everyone.
